چکیده
(Bio)mechanical models of human body are important tools in understanding the functional principles of human movement and coordination as well as they have widespread applications for the industrial, scientific and medical purposes. In this paper (bio)mechanical models of the upper human limb (arm, forearm and hand, 7 degree-of– freedoms ( DOFs)), upper torso and right arm (15 DOFs) and of the leg with (2DOFs) are presented, where model of upper human limb is discussed in detail. Also, multi-chain (bio)mechanical model of a human body, anthropomorphic locomotion configuration, is introduced. At last, simulations in MATLAB enviroment are performed and the results of kinematical and dynamical model of an anthropomorphic arm (5 DOFs) in the task of writing are presented.

Anxiolytic-like Effects and Increase in Locomotor Activity Induced by Infusions of NMDA into the Ventral Hippocampus in Rat: Interaction with GABAergic System
Introduction: In this study, we investigated the role of N-Methyl-D-Aspartate (NMDA) receptors in the ventral hippocampus (VH) and their possible interactions with GABAA system on anxiety-like behaviors. Methods: We used an elevated-plus maze test (EPM) to assess anxiety-like behaviors and locomotor activity in male Wistar rats. Results: The results showed that intra-VH infusions of diffe...
متن کاملTools for understanding and optimizing robotic gait training.
This article reviews several tools we have developed to improve the understanding of locomotor training following spinal cord injury (SCI), with a view toward implementing locomotor training with robotic devices. We have developed (1) a small-scale robotic device that allows testing of locomotor training techniques in rodent models, (2) an instrumentation system that measures the forces and mot...

Background: Nucleus accumbens (NAc) and prefrontal cortex (PFC) dopaminergic and glutamatergic systems are involved in regulating of locomotor activity behaviors. This study has investigated the interaction of NAc shell dopaminergic system and prelimbic glutamatergic systems in regulating locomotor activity and related parameters. Methods: The aim of this study was the effect the drugs injectio...
متن کاملLocomotor behavior and long bone morphology in individual free-ranging chimpanzees.
We combine structural limb data and behavioral data for free-ranging chimpanzees from Taï (Ivory Coast) and Mahale National Parks (Tanzania) to begin to consider the relationship between individual variation in locomotor activity and morphology. Femoral and humeral cross sections of ten individuals were acquired via computed tomography. Locomotor profiles of seven individuals were constructed f...
متن کاملThe role of plantigrady and heel-strike in the mechanics and energetics of human walking with implications for the evolution of the human foot.
Human bipedal locomotion is characterized by a habitual heel-strike (HS) plantigrade gait, yet the significance of walking foot-posture is not well understood. To date, researchers have not fully investigated the costs of non-heel-strike (NHS) walking. Therefore, we examined walking speed, walk-to-run transition speed, estimated locomotor costs (lower limb muscle volume activated during walking...
